Mark Edgarton has finished his first year at Suffolk University Law School. He grew up 45 minutes north of Boston in Amherst, NH. After graduating from Souhegan High School, he attended Middlebury College in Vermont where he received a BA in Political Science and played on the Varsity Football team for 4 years. In his Junior year he participated in American University's Semester Program in Washington DC. His program consisted of a comprehensive research paper on "The FBI's Special Agent Selection Process", an internship with Congressman Martin Meehan (D-Lowell), and a justice seminar consisting of court watching and expert lectures.

In the summer before his senior year at Middlebury, he completed an internship with the Lowell Police Department's Criminal Bureau, where he showed Detectives on the night shift. Before graduating from Middlebury in 1999, he also interned with the Addison County State's Attorney's Office in Middlebury, Vt. After graduating, he worked at Holland & Knight in Boston for the year before he began school at Suffolk in the Fall of 2000. As part of Holland & Knight's Opening Doors for Children Program, he volunteered in a 5th Grade Class at the Boston Renaissance Charter School for the 1999-2000 school year.
