| Christian Rivera is a member of the Boston College Law School class of 2005. He is Treasurer-elect of the Latino/a Law Student Association and a founding member of the Boston College Law School Democrats. He was born in Guatemala, raised in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and attended Brookline High School. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in International Relations and has extensive independent travel experience from Southeast Asia to Central America. Christian has been professionally active in local community-based organizations, from the Boston Youth Network where he led eight teenage participants through a two-week leadership program to Strasbourg, France, to City Year Inc., a national non-profit providing community service opportunities for 900 young leaders as part of AmeriCorps, where he was a member of the start-up team that founded City Year Columbus. He has also served with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Administrative Appeals and has statewide political campaign experience. He was part of the leadership team at James Segel's campaign for state Treasurer and served on Steve Grossman's campaign for Governor. Christian will be working with the economic development team of the Boston Redevelopment Authority this summer. |
