The Consumer Law Public Service Fellowship is awarded to a Suffolk Law student who demonstrates an interest in and commitment to issues of consumer law, rights and protection. The individual chosen will be paid a $7,000 stipend for a ten-week, fulltime, summer position in a Massachusetts governmental office or nonprofit agency engaged in consumer protection work. While it is not necessary to secure an internship prior to applying for the Consumer Law Public Service Fellowship, the award will be contingent on obtaining a placement with an eligible employer. The Consumer Law Fellow may secure his/her placement independently or with the assistance of the Rappaport Center.
