The Pro Bono Partners Program pairs interested alumni and other attorneys with upper-level law students to work together on pro bono cases from the Volunteer Lawyers Project, Health Law Advocates, the Victim Rights Law Center, and other qualifying nonprofit legal services agencies. The Pro Bono Partners Program also works with the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) to match upper-level students with certified private bar counsel on cases involving public criminal defense, child and family law, and mental health litigation.
If you are already working on a pro bono matter or CPCS case, or you are interested in taking on a new pro bono matter, and you would like a volunteer law student clerk to assist, then Suffolk Law's Pro Bono Partners Program is for you.
If you are a practicing attorney and would like to sign up for the Pro Bono Partners Program, complete the Pro Bono Partners Attorney Registration Form.
If you are a panel attorney with CPCS and would like to request a law student volunteer for your CPCS work, please complete the CPCS Attorney Registration Form.
Please note that while we cannot guarantee the availability of student volunteers, we will keep all requests on file and will work to match interested students and attorneys as soon as possible.
The goal of the Pro Bono Partners Program is to combine pro bono service with experiential learning for our students. Therefore, when you partner with a law student on a pro bono matter or CPCS case, you act as that student's supervising attorney. We ask that before you accept a student volunteer, you complete a Supervising Attorney Agreement. |
